THE ART

Artist Sara Lou’s work is inspired by whimsical adventures of travel, and reflects her love of bright, colourful palettes, as well as everything kitsch. Sara Lou specialises in watercolour & ink illustration, as well as oil painting. You’ll often find her working on mixed media artworks. Recently she has been exploring combining digital and traditional art.

THE STORY

Sara Lou (Founder of bysaralou) is an illustrator from New Zealand. Travel inspires most of her artwork, and after spending eight years in the U.K and Japan, she moved to Australia to start her art business bysaralou, where she resides (for now!).

MY VISION

bysaralou may have started as an art business, but I have big dreams of where you may see my artwork. My shop bysaralou is a collection of all my favourite artwork and stationery. I hope you’ll follow along with my journey and enjoy seeing the many things I create!

WHY I STARTED BYSARALOU

“I officially started my art business soon after arriving in Australia with a desire to live a more creative life. I love capturing the beauty that is in everyday and creating memories through pretty things! I try to create art that I would decorate my home with and products that I would use myself. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that you enjoy them as much as I do!”
